What it does for you

Recognises Snooze Tabby’s CSV, zzzTab’s own (JSON or CSV) and any CSV with links and dates.
Reads dates as day-month-year, in your local time.
Cleans notification counters from titles, like “(3)”.
Skips duplicates. Anything already overdue opens one by one.
The file is read in your browser: it is never uploaded anywhere.

zzzTab has no servers, accounts or analytics. Everything is stored in your browser, and the extension cannot connect to the internet: Chrome blocks it by design.

Tabs: Read the title and link of what you snooze, close it and open it again.
Tab groups: Put each tab back in its group.
Storage: Keep your list in this browser.
Alarms: Wake each tab at its time.
Notifications: Let you know when something wakes up.
Site icons: Show each tab’s icon without going online.
Sound: Play the soft sound on wake-up.

Frequently asked questions

How much does it cost?

Nothing. zzzTab is free, with no paid tier and no ads.

What if Chrome is closed when the time comes?

When you open it, anything overdue opens one by one and a notice tells you how many woke up while you were away.

Does it sync between my computers?

No: everything is local, precisely so nothing leaves your browser. To move your list, export it and import it on the other one.

Does it keep what I typed in the tab?

No. zzzTab reopens the page by its address; it does not keep unsent forms or scroll position.

Why does it need permission to see my tabs?

To read the title and link of the tab you snooze, close it and reopen it. It does not read the content of pages.

Does it work in other browsers?

It is built for Chrome 116 or newer.

How do I bring my tabs from Snooze Tabby?

Export the CSV from Snooze Tabby and drop it on zzzTab’s “Import & export” screen. The steps are above.
