Dates

Type dates in plain words

You don’t have to fight with calendars. Type when you want the tab back the way you would say it, and check the day and time zzzTab shows you before you confirm.

How it works

Click the zzzTab icon and type in the box in the popup. Under it, zzzTab shows the exact day and time it understood. If that is right, press Snooze. If it is not what you meant, change the phrase.

It never guesses: if it doesn’t understand what you typed, it snoozes nothing. It also understands English and Spanish: “tomorrow 9” and “mañana 9” do the same.

Amounts of time

For “in a while”. Hours and minutes count from now; days, weeks and months land on your morning time.

3din 3 daysin 2 weeksin a monthThat many days from now, at your morning time.

Parts of the day

For when you don’t care about the exact minute. Type “tonight” or “tomorrow afternoon” and zzzTab picks that part of the day. You can see the exact time it chose before you confirm.

  • tonight
  • tomorrow afternoon
  • noon

Phrases that repeat

If you start with “every” (or “weekdays”, “daily”), the tab comes back again and again at its time instead of once.

  • every friday 5pm
  • weekdays 8:30
  • every day at 7
  • 15th of every month
  • first monday of every month

Two special words

somedayNo date and no alarm: it stays in your list until you open it.
randomA surprise time between tomorrow and 7 days from now, during the day.

Change what “morning” means

Your morning and afternoon times can be changed in Settings, under “Advanced”. In the popup, the “How to type” link opens a guide with examples you can try live.

Questions

What if zzzTab doesn’t understand what I typed?

It snoozes nothing. It never picks a time for you. Try a shorter phrase, like “tomorrow 9”.

Is it day/month or month/day?

Day first: “15/10” is the 15th of October.

Can I type in Spanish?

Yes. zzzTab understands English and Spanish phrases: “tomorrow 9” and “mañana 9” do the same.

Do I have to type? Can I use buttons?

No, you can also use the quick buttons, like tomorrow or the weekend, or the calendar. Typing is just the fastest.
